Jacob David is the writer, creative storyteller, and comic strip creator behind Scallywags. He is based in Sugar Land, Texas. He has three years of experience as a substitute teacher in elementary schools, which has helped him develop an authentic understanding of children’s humor, classroom life, and everyday childhood experiences. In addition to creating Scallywags, Jacob has worked across writing, design, and creative media projects, bringing strong narrative and visual storytelling skills to his work.
